How a Master-Key Hierarchy Works: Grand-Master, Sub-Master, Operator
A master-key system is a tiered structure that simplifies access management for complex buildings. We design these systems with three key levels to suit places like Downtown Northbank office towers or San Marco Square professional buildings.
At the top, the grand-master key opens every door, perfect for building managers or owners. Below that, sub-master keys offer access to specific areas, such as one department or tenant suite, ideal for supervisors. Finally, individual operator keys allow access only to the necessary rooms for each staff member.
Every cylinder is carefully pinned to accept its specific key and the master key above it. For instance, a San Marco Square dental practice might've a master for the owner, sub-masters for front-desk and clinical zones, and operator keys for hygienists.
We provide a detailed key matrix to ensure clarity and organization. Installation is efficient, typically completed in a half to full day.
